SPOILER ALERT! If you have not read the first book in A Prince of Lynvia, you might want to do so before reading further, because the information below contains spoilers that might not make sense until you do.

Kyne Goodrum

Kyne is a young boy turning 13 who can't remember anything past when he was 8. Something terrible in his past must have happened.

His superpower is that he is superstrong and invulnerable.

Kyne has a lot more potential than people usually give him credit for. He doesn’t usually feel much like a leader, but he certainly cares about other people, and gently guides them in the right path. Though he may have to deal with his own anger from time to time, he’s learned valuable lessons from the mistakes of the past and can choose to overlook an offense, just like a good king should. His favorite bible verse is Proverbs 19:11. His spiritual gift is Pastor, though he would not have considered himself for that role. Still, people look to him for guidance, and he gives it, with what wisdom he has.

Zip Dansen

Zip is Kyne's best friend, an athletic if small brown haired and freckled boy who lives just down the street.

Zip's superpower is the ability to run faster than a cheetah. Faster than sound. Well, you get the picture.

Zip is loyal to a fault, good-natured and friendly. Nothing seems to get him down and he is always looking at the bright side of life. He tries to model his life after Philippians 4:12. However, his impulsive tendency to run headlong into situations without examining all the angles often gets him into trouble. His resourcefulness usually gets him out again. Sharing his faith comes naturally to him, and he’s been told his spiritual gift is Evangelism, though he laughs when he hears it, because he doesn’t remember a time when he purposed to share his faith door to door. He just does it when the time is right, one on one.

Destiny Meadows

Destiny is the first girl Kyne meets in his new school in Arbortown. Quiet and shy, she is cute and compassionate. Her best friend Anne, however, gets her into all kinds of scrapes, but when they run afoul of the new kid Kyne, they find out they've taken on more than they can handle.

Her superpower is the ability to make herself invisible. This comes in quite handy when she and her friends run afoul of the Mob.

Destiny is quiet and shy, but brave in her own way. She likes to work quietly in the background, and dislikes getting credit, as it brings unwanted attention. Her life is modeled after Proverbs 27:2. Content to quietly do good work in the background, she will get her praise at the feet of the One she serves. Her spiritual gift is probably Helps, but it’s just what she does. She finds it a little hard to make friends, since she resists letting them get too close, but the ones she has are closer than her breath and would be willing to die for her.

Anne Matthews

Anne is a saucy and independent, serious-minded if quirky young teen. She can be a bit of a bully, just for fun. She's been through quite a bit of trouble in her homelife, but you wouldn't know it by looking at her. She hides it well.

Her superpower is the ability to see into the future... at least, to see something they will need when they run into trouble. Sometimes she thinks she's crazy, because she is always collecting things that make no sense, to hand to someone else, with no idea why they need it.

Anne’s been told that she is Type A, whatever that means. It’s not a blood type, but it probably has something to do with the way she takes charge when nobody else will step up to take the reins. She’s never met a challenge she couldn’t best with a bit of grit and hard work, and a decision. Her favorite bible verse is Proverbs 28:1, she can really get into that bold as a lion bit. She can be a little judgmental, so they say, but that’s simply because she knows the difference between right and wrong, and usually chooses the right path, and feels compelled to tell others when they are headed wrong. I mean, can’t they see it? Her spiritual gift is Prophesy, which really doesn’t surprise her much. She could have predicted it.

Jason Fentris

Jason is Kyne's double, who really belongs in our modern non-magical world. It wasn't his choice to spend all hos life since he was 8 running from those who sought to kill him. Still, he's the forgiving type, but finds it hard to trust others.

Jason's superpower is the ability to STOP TIME. Something that comes in incredibly handy when you're being shot at, or late for class.

Known for being quick on his feet, Jason still takes the time to examine problems and sort out a solution. It’s sometimes difficult to come to a decision, since he takes all the time he needs to examine a problem before taking action. He is social and enjoys his friends, and treasures every moment. He never met a person he didn’t like, except perhaps soldiers for Kever. Because of hurts in the past he still finds it difficult to trust. He models his life after Psalm 90:12. His spiritual gift is Faith; he knows God will sort it all out in the end, and though he may not trust others, he knows he can trust Him, even with the little things in life.

Gnobel

Gnobel is Zip's double from Lynvia, the son of a fisherman. Unlike Zip, he loves the smell of fish, and never gets seasick. He's fun-loving and adventurous like his counterpart, but rather quiet.

His superpower is the ability to control water, in all its forms, and talk to fish. This comes in very handy when you lose something in the ocean.

Gnobel has the heart of an artist, and constantly notes the beauty and character in the things around him. While he can’t communicate well in words, being a person of few words, his art speaks for itself, and others appreciate the talent. He is more about action than planning, however, and will do whatever is needed, if somebody will just make a decision for him. He likes Psalm 32:8; he finds it comforting that the One will guide him and watch over him. He can be fun loving, and others even call him an otter. He can get into that, as he doesn’t mind playing in the water. His spiritual gift is Teaching, as long as it’s not leading he is ok with it.

Kaalah

Kaalah is Destiny's counterpart from Lynvia. She is outgoing, outdoorsey, and lives on a farm. She enjoys horseback riding, and doesn't mind milking cows.

Her superpower is the ability to talk to animals. Ok, well, you can probably do that too, but in her case, the animals talk back.

All things fluffy and furry are her friends. She never met an animal she didn’t like. Except possibly snakes. She would rather spend time with a pet than with friends, but has a few friends she is close to, and confides in. If nobody else makes a decision, she can, but she’d rather come up with multiple plans and have somebody else choose the best way. One of her favorite verses is Luke 14:28. Counting the cost is what she is all about. Her spiritual gift is Administration. If only others would listen to her and not plummet forward over the cliff.

Sheriah

Sheriah is Anne's double from Lynvia. While Anne comes from a broken home, Sheriah does not. Her mother has taught her how to identify magical healing herbs in Lynvia, and she can tell what plants will kill you, and which are safe to eat, or useful to apply to wounds, or to cure a stomach ache.

Her superpower is the ability to talk to and control plants. She can make a tree grow from seedling to forest giant in minutes.

Sheriah is compassionate and empathetic. She enjoys gardening and growing things, and appreciates the beauty of a flower or the freshness of a vine-ripened tomato. Her life is patterned after Isaiah 58:8. Her spiritual gift is Healing, as that is what she is called to do.

Garon

Garon spent years pretending to be Kyne's bumbling and grumpy grandfather... yet the truth is that he is the court wizard, and accompanied him in his banishment from Lynvia.

He flipflops between being Adept and Inept at a growing number of spells, but he's handy in a fight and bears a lot of scars he won't talk about.

He can be very gruff but when you break through that tough exterior he has a heart of gold.

Lavik

Lavik is Kyne's childhood tutor, and when he returns to Lynvia, the brilliant instructor picks up where he left off. However, he can often be exasperated with his charge, as Kyne would rather be out on an adventure than in a classroom listening to dry lectures.

Lavik has no superpowers, but he is quite adept with a sword and helpful with tidbits of history and puzzle-solving.

Greybeard

Kedrick, or Greybeard, as Kyne decided to nickname him, is without question the most adept swordsman in all of Lynvia. Unlike the Showy Dalator, he is more apt to simply disarm all his opponents than chastise them in a long drawn-out fight against overwhelming odds.

Greybeard has no superpower, but then again, he doesn't need one - his sword arm is all the superpower he needs.

Together with his best friend Dalator, Greybeard could stand against an army. His quick thinking saved Jason from death at the hands of Kever.

Grizzles

Dalator, or Grizzles, as nicknamed by his sovereign, Kyne, is a devil incarnate with a pair of blades. Unlike the cool, scientific swordplay of his counterpart, Grizzles is a sucker for an opportunity to put on a show. He can easily best anyone in Lynvia, except Kedrick, and if he has two blades it's anyone's guess where a swordfight between them would end.

He is loyal through and through, a one man army. Just his name is enough to make the enemy start running in the other direction.

Kraxor

General Kraxor is a giant of a man, and elects to fight more with a double-bladed battle axe than a sword. Though he can hold his own with one, if he can keep from breaking it with his amazing strength.

He is loyal to the crown as long as the pretender Regent Kever isn't the one wearing it. Let's just say he's happy to see the Wishmaker return to Lynvia.
